Vic's jewelry and watch repair, previously owned by Vic, his wife Marla, and his daughter LaLiga for the past 30 years, has recently been taken over and run by Safi Barekzai and his wife, Adita Barekzai. With family history of watch repair, Safi Barekzai has been in the watch making industry for the past 20 years. He does all kinds of watch repairs for all high-grade watches. Not only that, but he also replaces watch batteries, repairs and changes, and watch bands in the store while you wait. We also do jewelry repair of almost all kinds.
With so many categories and brands available to see in one place, product trends, themes and buying patterns were easy to spot. The top trending areas were bridal (particularly twists on classic designs and custom offerings), colored stones and fashion jewelry, such as charms and thin, stackable rings. Snake and other animal motifs, as well as coin jewelry, were highly visible on the show floor. Vibrant greens, which have been trending all year, showed no signs of slowing down and were one half the subject JCK’s successful “Green or Black & White” Twitter contest.
Our business is unique because we are family-owned and operated. I work closely with my wife, Adita. Because of our knowledge in both watch and jewelry making, all service is done at our store and never sent out. We pride ourselves on excellent service as we are very honest. Our goal is to make sure our customers walk out with a smile on their face, whether they are changing a simple watch battery or designing a custom jewelry piece.
